Heavy quark diffusion coefficient with gradient flow

چکیده

We calculate chromoelectric and chromomagnetic correlators in quenched QCD at $1.5{T}_{c}$ ${10}^{4}{T}_{c}$, with the aim to estimate heavy quark diffusion coefficient leading order inverse mass expansion, ${\ensuremath{\kappa}}_{\mathrm{E}}$, as well of first mass-suppressed correction, ${\ensuremath{\kappa}}_{\mathrm{B}}$. use gradient flow for noise reduction. At we obtain $1.70\ensuremath{\le}{\ensuremath{\kappa}}_{\mathrm{E}}/{T}^{3}\ensuremath{\le}3.12$ $1.03<{\ensuremath{\kappa}}_{\mathrm{B}}/{T}^{3}<2.61$. The latter implies that effects are 20% bottom quarks 34% charm this temperature.

Heavy-Quark Diffusion, Flow and Recombination at RHIC

We discuss recent developments in assessing heavy-quark interactions in the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP). While induced gluon radiation is expected to be the main energy-loss mechanism for fast-moving quarks, we focus on elastic scattering which prevails toward lower energies, evaluating both perturbative (gluon-exchange) and nonperturbative (resonance formation) interactions in the QGP. The latter...

Nonperturbative heavy-quark diffusion in the quark-gluon plasma.

We evaluate heavy-quark (HQ) transport properties in a quark-gluon plasma (QGP) within a Brueckner many-body scheme employing interaction potentials extracted from thermal lattice QCD. The in-medium T matrices for elastic charm- and bottom-quark scattering off light quarks in the QGP are dominated by attractive meson and diquark channels which support resonance states up to temperatures of ~1.5...

Heavy Quark Diffusion from the Lattice

Abstract We study the diffusion of heavy quarks in the Quark Gluon Plasma using the Langevin equations of motion and estimate the contribution of the transport peak to the Euclidean current-current correlator. We show that the Euclidean correlator is remarkably insensitive to the heavy quark diffusion coefficient and give a simple physical interpretation of this result using the free streaming ...
